What is Build Together?
Every year, City Church California holds a special "Build Together" offering where we all give a one-time sacrificial financial gift over and above our tithes. We will do this to propel our church into all we believe God wants to do in California.
These offerings have never been about equal giving but equal sacrifice. We believe that when we collectively give sacrificially, God responds extravagantly.

Each year, funds are prayerfully allocated into three main areas:
70% — Campus Improvements, Missions, and Build Together Initiatives
Investing in our facilities, advancing global and local missions, and fueling future expansion.20% — Church Operations & Ministry Flexibility
Supporting day-to-day operations and enabling us to respond quickly to new ministry opportunities as they arise.10% — Loan Reduction
Paying down the loan from previous campus improvements, helping us steward resources wisely for the future.

Bolster our financial position to secure both a larger church facility and permanent housing for future California Coast Bible College students
Future Generations - “Building our Legacy”
Invest into City Christian School, enabling our school to provide Christian education to more students and families.
Continue to update our City Kids areas, providing better spaces for them to encounter God. In addition, we want to outfit our facility to better serve our Champions ministry for children with special needs. And additional next gen opportunities for growth.
Future Missions - “Building our Community”
Continue to support The Ventura Rescue Mission and The Lighthouse; start a new partnership with The Ventura Believe Center
Continued provision for benevolence needs and counseling

It’s a key part of spiritual formation in our church family—learning to trust God with our finances, practice generosity, and grow in sacrificial faith.

Yes. Tithing is a regular, biblical rhythm of giving the first 10% of our income to the local church. Build Together is an additional, one-time sacrificial gift we prepare for in prayer and unity.
