What is
City Kids Champions?
City Kids Champions is a specialized ministry catering to the unique needs of children with disabilities and their families.
We do so by offering two opportunities…

This is a once a month 3-hour Parent's Day Out/Respite program, where VIP (Very Important People) children and their siblings make new friends in a safe and loving environment, while their caregivers get a well-deserved break. VIP children include those with diverse physical, cognitive or hidden chronic disabilities. This program is designed for VIP children aged 5 to 11, along with their siblings spanning kindergarten to fifth grade.

We have recently opened up our 11:30 City Kids service to our champions, by offering an integration option. This allows our Champions to be paired with a 1:1 buddy that will support them in their age appropriate class. In order to participate in this option, pre registration is required so that we can properly prepare and plan.
First Time Guest
On your first visit, our greeters will direct you to our courtyard where you will see our check in tent.
You will be welcomed by our check in team who will help you create a family profile using the following information: Parent/legal guardian names, children's names and birthdates, phone number, email and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for each child. This information is to help maintain our secure check-in system.
Alternatively, you can pre register your child in advance and go straight to self check in upon arrival.
Once your profile has been created, you can use the self check-in stations to check your children into class using your phone number or the QR code available on the Church Center app.
Lastly, if your child needs more time to feel comfortable checking into class we have our Family Room available in the lobby. We also have a very comfortable and private Mothers Room for our nursing moms located next to the womans restroom.

Our City Kids area is a completely secured space. Upon checking in your child, you will receive a parent/guardian tag that permits you to enter the kids area. This tag includes a unique code, randomly assigned to you at check in for that particular day. Only the parent/guardian who drops your child off AND has this pickup tag, is permitted to pick up the child.

Because our City Kids area is a secure area, only our background checked team members are permitted in the classrooms. We have an experienced team and many leaders who are capable of making sure each child is well cared for. If your child needs your attention, we will contact you via text message.

CITY KIDS IS A PEANUT FREE AREA. PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY PEANUT PRODUCTS INTO THIS AREA. If your child has any allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know at check in. This information is printed on their name tag to ensure your child’s safety upon snack time.

Please do not check your child in if they have the following…
A fever above 99 degrees (without medicine) within 24 hrs
They have had diarrhea within the last 24 hours
They have vomited within the last 24 hours
They have pink eye
They have green or yellow mucus
They have a persistent, deep cough
They have any type of contagious virus or disease (strep, flu, measles, rubella, mumps, whooping cough, etc)
They have unexplained and/or contagious rash (chicken pox, ringworm, hand foot and mouth etc)
They have lice or scabies

Yes, all adults volunteering in the City Kids space have passed a Live Scan background check.
