Series Overview

Culture is a system shaped by our values, created to produce an atmosphere, whether by design (intentionally) or by default (unintentionally). The local church is a kingdom instrument that plays a role in shaping the culture in our own lives. Culture is more than a song or sermon. It’s a deep understanding that we are the very temple in which God inhabits.

  • This week’s message focuses on posture. Our posture is the message our life preaches, without saying a word. Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven” (Matt. 5:16, NIV). In other words, the way you live tells a story. It is an outward reflection of an inward position of the heart. Honoring God, serving others, and living generously require actions. The actions of your hands reveal the posture of your heart.

  • This week, we are emphasizing the importance of presentation. When we work with our hearts and hands, God’s excellence is displayed. Excellence is not about perfection but, about quality and integrity. Mark 7:37 states, “And they were astonished beyond measure, saying ‘He has done all things well...’” (NKJV). Excellence means taking action and giving your best. While it may be visible outwardly, it starts from within the heart. Many can talk about their intentions but then act mediocre. God is not honored by low efforts or a half-hearted attitude. So, why pursue excellence? Why give your best with a sincere heart? To glorify God. Excellence reflects God’s glory and mirrors our creator.

  • This week, we are emphasizing the importance of participation. In Ephesians, Paul describes the church as the body of Christ. He emphasizes essential concepts on how the Kingdom of God should work and function. How we interact with each other matters because we are designed to help each other grow. John Stott states, “It takes the whole people of God to understand the whole love of God.” Through each other, we have the opportunity not only to experience the Love of God but also to be the love of God. Participation will help you grow, and others will grow too.
